This powerful film set in Caracas – one of the most dangerous cities in the world – follows the fate of two boys raised as brothers. Daniel is an exceptional soccer player, a striker. Julio is the team’s captain, a born leader. They play football in their slum, La Ceniza. Daniel dreams of playing professional soccer while Julio feeds the family with dirty money; he has no time to dream. The opportunity of their lives arrives when a soccer scout invites them to try out for the city’s best team: Caracas Soccer Club. But tragedy strikes them. On this pitch, life is on the line. UNICEF has teamed up with the film’s producers to help spur conversations about violence prevention in Venezuela’s poor urban communities.
