Mars is coming!

Mars is science fiction, it’s animation and it’s a romantic comedy and it’s coming to VTIFF! Austin, Texas based filmmaker Geoff Marslett developed the animation technique specifically for this film.

From the film’s website:

This romantic comedy is told in the playful style of a graphic novel- using a unique animation process that director Geoff Marslett developed specifically for the film. Underneath the silliness Mars is also an exploration of exploration. Why do we want to know what is out there? How do we react to what we find? Is it really that important? And where does love fit into the whole thing?

And Vermont’s own Cartoon Laureate, James Kochalka, is featured in the film as well! In fact, it was James who approached VTIFF about including the film in this year’s festival.
